INS Delhi (D61)

INS Delhi (D61) is the lead ship of the Delhi-class guided missile destroyers of the Indian Navy. Built by Mazagon Dock Limited, Mumbai, the ship was commissioned on 15 November 1997. The Delhi-class consists of three ships: INS Delhi, INS Mysore, and INS Mumbai, all of which remain in active service.

INS Delhi is designed to operate in nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) warfare environments, making it a highly capable and survivable warship. It carries a powerful combination of offensive and defensive weapons, allowing it to engage threats on the sea, in the air, and below the surface.

Significance
