Rocket Launcher WM-18A

Rocket Launcher WM-18A

The WM-18A Rocket Launcher is an 18-barrel naval rocket launching system designed to provide powerful fire support during amphibious and anti-submarine operations. Mounted aboard Indian Navy Landing Ship (Large) [LSL] class vessels, this launcher delivers rapid and concentrated rocket fire against coastal and maritime targets.

Its primary role is to support beach landing operations by neutralizing enemy defenses before troops reach the shore. The system is also capable of engaging enemy submarines operating at periscope depth, making it a versatile weapon for both surface and underwater threats.

The launcher consists of 18 launch tubes arranged to fire rockets in quick succession, creating a devastating impact over a target area. The rockets have an effective operational range of up to 10 kilometers, enabling ships to engage targets from a safe distance.
